Try this old family favourite for the children that provides a nutritious and tasty drink on return from school, bridging the gap between lunch and tea. A glass of this milkshake puts a smile on their faces and ensures a good dose of essential calcium to boot.

Per person
1 glass of milk
2 tsps cocoa powder (Green & Black’s is the best)
2 tsps granulated sugar

Method: Whizz all the ingredients in a liquidizer for one minute and pour into a glass and enjoy. Alternatives – replace cocoa powder with 1 tsp vanilla essence or half a banana for two further flavours.
